Welcome to the 43rd edition of the Leitrim Guardian. The cover of the first Leitrim Guardian showed Glencar Waterfall — one of Leitrim’s most beautiful natural amenities, which we are so proud of. Today, 43 years later that waterfall flows on— the Leitrim Guardian goes on—a tribute to voluntary teamwork. This years cover is a snow scene in deepest Winter. We would like to believe that the same spirit, vision and hope of that first Leitrim Guardian are still very much
part of the make-up of our Leitrim today. This edition also endeavours to present the new Leitrim, which is organic, artistic, creative, fun, eco-friendly, and full of exciting and adventurous things to do. So, it is basically the old Leitrim, that we all know and love, with a modern twist!
